It was a heck of a summer, wasn’t it? I took an unofficial blogging hiatus to work on some professional stuff, including some articles and reviews and some presentations. I can talk more about those in posts to come. I have also been having a great time being a Nana and hanging out with my granddaughter. But it’s Fall, and now I’m refreshed and ready to come back. As you can imagine, I have a LOT of catching up to do, so I ask you all to be patient with me as I get through the swath of emails. Slowly but surely, I will post whatever I’ve got.

I'm a mom, a children's librarian, bibliophile, and obsessive knitter. I'm a pop culture junkie and a proud nerd, and favorite reads usually fall into Sci-Fi/Fantasy. I review comics and graphic novels at WhatchaReading (http://whatchareading.com). I'm also the co-founder of On Wednesdays We Wear Capes (http://www.onwednesdays.net/), where I discuss pop culture and geek fandom from a female point of view. View All Posts
