About Rosemary

Hi there! I’m a children’s (and sometimes YA) librarian with a large public library system. I love storytime, maker spaces and coding, and I’m working on getting more involved in advocacy.

What am I like when I’m not behind the reference desk? I’m a comic book obsessive, mother of dragons (some call them boys), bibliomaniac, and knitter. I love kids’ books, YA books, and every now and then, a grown-up book. I also write about comics and pop culture (and aformentioned grown-up books) at On Wednesdays, We Wear Capes and tweet @roesolo. 1. Hello Rosemary,

I work for Skyhorse Publishing and was wondering if you would like to receive review copies of our Sky Pony Books, in particular, Mark Cheverton’s Gameknight999 series. Please visit our Sky Pony Press website at http://www.skyponypress.com/book/?GCOI=61608100822340& for more information about the book. If you would like to receive the three books from the series, please send me an email with your best reached shipping address. Thanks!

  2. HI Rosemary,
As Sara mentioned above, I’d love to have you review my book, Invasion of the Overworld. This is a middle grade book that is set in the world of Minecraft. It focuses a light on cyber bullying and the dealing with anxiety and fear that can many times come along with the bullying. To date, we’re approaching 100,000 copies sold and is going to be offered internationally next year. But the important thing that I’m hearing from my readers is…they are reading.

I made this trailer for the books: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2Ns0pv6fKY
but I’d ask that you look at the comments, specifically Aidans’ comment. He wrote “thank you i love reading again!!!!”
These are kind of comments that I’m getting from both parents and kids alike, but I heard the most comments last Christmas when the Invasion of the Overworld hit #30 on Amazon’s top 100 list for all books…it was very exciting.

Anyway, I would love to send you book 1 in my Minecraft series, or maybe the entire series for you to review. These books are using that which kids love, Minecraft, as a vehicle to deliver a positive social message, while at the same time keeping their noses in a book.

    Mark
